Here are a few tips on how to attain 7 to 10 portions par jour:

-Aim on half your plate of veggies for lunch and supper (equals to 2 portions for each meal)

-Have a side salad for lunch and supper (equals 1 portion for each meal)

-Add 1 fruit portion to your breakfast

-Plan on having 1 fruit between each meal of the day

 

What is a portion?

Lettuce: 1 cup (looks like a fist or a baseball)
Vegetables: 1/2 cup (looks like a handful or a hockey puck)
Fruits (fresh): 1 medium size fruit or 1/2 cup (looks like a handful or a hockey puck)

Fruits (dried): 1/4 cup of dried fruit (1 golf ball)
